Veterinary School - Tufts University
Dr. Hebner joined the team of VCA Lewis in 2003 ans is now our medical director. He has extensive experience in emergency medicine and surgery, and also has a special interest in physical therapy. Dr. Hebner has two dogs and a cat at home: A lab mix named Blue, a chihuahua named Jack, and a domestic short hair named Sylvester. In his spare time, he enjoys coaching, cooking, tri-sports, and spending time with his family.

Dr. Kanakry received his veterinary degree
from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of
Veterinary in 1993 and has a BS in biology from the College of William and Mary. He has worked as a biologist for the Food and Drug Administration before receiving his veterinary degree.

Dr. Krug graduated with her degree from
University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. She also went to Bryn Mawr College and received a BA in biology. Her interest is in soft tissue surger

Dr. Smith received her degree from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. She has a MS and BS in Animal Science from the University of Maryland, College Park. She also works as a Veterinary Medical Officer for the Food and Drug Administration.
