At VCA Brookline Animal Hospital, we look forward to welcoming you, your dog, your cat, and other pets (including birds, hamsters, rabbits, and other exotic pets that do not need urgent or emergency care). We do wellness and preventative care as well as sick and emergency visits for dogs and cats. We accept emergency and "fit-in" appointments for your dog or cat should the doctor feel that your pet needs to be seen and we do not have any appointments slots available. Our caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable staff all share the same goal of providing you and your pets the best possible care and service available. We believe that building relationships with both clients and their pets is one of the most important parts of providing excellent care to all.
Our team of qualified veterinary technicians, client service oriented representatives, trained animal care/technician assistants, and top grade veterinarians offer a full range of services. Your pet will always be seen by an experienced, knowledgeable veterinarian who will provide a thorough examination, and ensure that your pet gets the best preventative medicine, as well as the latest veterinary medicines and procedures to help your pet recover from any discomfort or illness that may present itself.
Our hospital and boarding and grooming facilities are state of the art, utilizing the latest technology in diagnostic testing and treatment. We also have board certified medical and surgical specialists available for consultations to provide the best possible medical care for your pet.

Dr. Scott Groper received his DVM from Tufts Veterinary School in 1994, and is a graduate of Harvard College. After graduating from Tufts, he completed an internship in medicine and surgery at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston, MA. He has been on staff at VCA Brookline Animal Hospital since 1995 and is currently Medical Director. An accredited veterinarian with the USDA, Dr. Groper is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.read more
Dr. Lori H. Feldman, who grew up in Connecticut, is a graduate of Tufts University and its School of Veterinary Medicine, class of 1995. Before joining the team at VCA Brookline Animal Hospital as a medical director, she worked at VCA Wakefield Animal Hospital for several years before moving to New York City. There, Dr. Feldman was a staff veterinarian at a six-doctor practice on the upper east side of Manhattan, where she concentrated on surgical procedures, ultrasonography, and client education. She also worked at a private practice in Greenwich, CT for two years prior to re-joining the VCA family. An accredited veterinarian with the USDA, Dr. Feldman is also currently licensed in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York.read more
Dr. Bean re-joined the team at VCA Brookline Animal Hospital in 2009 after taking some time to start her family. Dr. Bean graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University in 2004 and began working at VCA Brookline Animal Hospital shortly after graduation. She lives locally with her husband, their two children, several cats, and a dog, Violet. See More
Special Interests: Dr. Bean is passionate about the humane treatment of animals, and has a deep understanding of the human animal bond.
A native of Framingham, MA, Dr. Tubman studied Molecular Biology as an undergradute at the University of Michigan and holds a Masters Degree in public health from Harvard University.
After working in research, he attended Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. He graduated from Tufts in 2005 and then completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Georgia Veterinary Specialists in Atlanta, GA. He went on to practice small animal emergency medicine in Maryland before moving back to MA, where he has been in general practice since 2008.
Dr Tubman joined Brookline Animal Hospital in the spring of 2012. He is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Association of Feline Practicioners. He lives locally with his wife, two cats, and two dogs.
