David Jones, DVM
David Jones, DVM

Medical Director
Veterinary School: University of Minnesota

Dr. Jones grew up in Redmond but did some moving around to the midwest (Minnesota and Wisconsin), and then spent time practicing veterinary medicine in the warmer and sunnier climate of Hawaii before eventually making his way back here to Washington to join the VCA Bellevue Team in 2011. Dr. Jones graduated from Redmond High School before obtaining his B.S. in Bacteriology and Public Health from Washington State University, and then worked at the Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in veterinary microbiology research for seven years. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine where he also did a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery. After doing general practice for five years, he then traveled to the University of Wisconsin for a residency in dentistry and oral surgery. Dr. Jones is very passionate about canine and feline oral health. He spent additional time doing a residency in this field so he could gain a higher level of skill and knowledge in this area. This allows him to be able to perform many advanced dental procedures and oral surgery beyond what can be performed at most veterinary hospitals. Dr. Jones is currently undergoing continuing education in the field of ultrasonography for more in depth imaging of the heart and abdominal organs. This will give him an additional non invasive way to gather information and help to diagnose patients. Dr. Jones accepted the position of Medical Director at VCA Bellevue Veterinary Hospital in 2013 and is responsible for establishing the medical quality and patient care practiced. In his personal time Dr. Jones enjoys working with his father to restore his 1954 Austin Healey and is currently rebuilding a Suzuki 1986 GS50ES. He also enjoys hiking, rock climbing, bicycling, attending and participating in dog shows and he used to love to surf (in his Hawaii days).

Janice Anthony, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Janice Anthony grew up in New York City but yearned for wide open space. She transferred from New York University to the University of Washington where her spirit grew. She feels that the Northwest is the most beautiful place she has ever found. In her "first life" she obtained a BA in Anthropology from UW and worked in the graphic arts industry. Although she enjoyed this very much, a certain something kept tugging at her heart and she went back to school to fulfill her need to help animals. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University and happily began to practice small animal medicine. In her time away from the hospital Dr. Anthony enjoys art, wildlife watching, hiking and many types of music, although not musically inclined herself! Dr. Anthony has been owned by more than 10 wonderful cats, 1 very special dog and has loved helping many foster dogs. She currently has 3 cats, all with hard luck histories and soft loving souls. She enjoys working with both dogs and cats, but she finds the feline species to be often misunderstood and for this reason, has a particular desire to be their advocate. She especially enjoys internal medicine and geriatric care and feels privileged to be able to help pets and people enjoy their time together in the best possible way. She finds all areas of veterinary medicine engaging and being a "family doctor" extremely satisfying.
