Shelbyville Road Veterinary Hospital, a full service hospital, opened in January, 2004. Our friendly veterinarian, technicians, and assistants have over 20 years of combined experience, and are ready to serve all of your veterinary needs in our easy to visit location on the Southeast side of Indianapolis. Office hours are available from Monday through Saturday. Walk-ins are always welcome and early drop off service is available for our valued clients.

Timothy Thunell, D.V.M.

Timothy Thunell, D.V.M.

Doctor Thunell grew up in Pennsylvania. In 1988, he graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in biology and chemistry. In 1994, he graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He worked in general practices from 1994 through 1998 in Alaska, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Pennsylvania. From 1998 until 2001, he worked in emergency and critical care in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Indianapolis. He did relief work for other veterinary clinics in Indianapolis from 2001 through 2003 prior to opening Shelbyville Road Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Thunell is married and has a son and daughter.
