At Pearland, we strive to exceed the high standards recommended by the state and national veterinary associations in respect to our facilities, equipment, team members and practice protocols. Our continual education ensures the very best care is performed at our hospital. Our veterinarians are affiliated with the local, state, and national veterinary societies. Pearland Animal Hospital’s veterinarians routinely attend post-graduate seminars in order to keep up with current topics including zoonotic diseases and newly discovered pathogens. All of our veterinarians and team members are friendly and eager to assist.

Dr. Schoeffler was born and raised right here in Pearland, Texas. During high school he worked at Pearland Animal Hospital as part of the kennel staff and as a technician assistant. Dr. Schoeffler then went to Texas A&M University to study Animal Sciences and graduated with a B.S. in 2003. During that time, he was a member of the Corps of Cadets and the Fightin� Texas Aggie Band. He went on to study Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M, earning his DVM degree in 2008.
After his veterinary training, Dr. Schoeffler completed an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Iowa State University. From there he moved to Anchorage, Alaska to work at a 24-hour Primary Care and Emergency Small Animal Hospital. He moved home to Pearland and rejoined the team at Pearland Animal Hospital in April of 2011 and took ownership in 2013.
Dr. Schoeffler�s hobbies include hunting, fishing and camping. He was honored as the Best Veterinarian in Pearland in 2012 and elected to the Chairman of the Pearland Chamber of Commerce in 2017. He is very involved with the Pearland Lions Club, his church, and his growing family
Dr. Stevener served two years in the United States Air Force. In 1967, he moved to Pearland and he went to work for Bayshore Animal Hospital.
In 1968, Pearland Animal Hospital was opened by Dr. Stevener.
He has been a member of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association since his graduation from veterinary school. He and his wife, Lucy, now have five grandchildren.
Dr. Vance was born and raised in Austin, Texas. He lived on the gulf coast when he moved to Galveston for College.
Dr. Vance attended Texas A&M where he obtained his Bachelors Degree in 2007 and his DVM in 2012. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
From May 2012 to November 2013 Dr. Vance worked at Animal House Veterinary Hospital as an Associate Veterinarian where he performed routine examinations, testing and procedures. He performed independently surgical and medical treatments including hospitalization. Dr. Vance also provided emergency veterinary care 24/7.
Dr. Vance joined our team December 23, 2013 as an Associate Veterinarian. We are honored to have him.
When asked what he chose to be a veterinarian he responded with �Being a veterinarian offers the chance to work with people and their animals, and improve the life of all of them. I have always enjoyed working with animals, but it is the human aspect that really decided me on becoming a veterinarian.�
Dr. Vance has a wife, Amanda and one loving daughter. His four legged family consists of two Laborador Mix Breeds and one cat. Dr. Vance is eager to expand his knowledge in our small animal private practice.
Dr. Donna Henry joined our team at Pearland Animal Hospital April 1, 2014. She was born in Houston, Texas. She began her veterinary career working in the kennel and then moving her way up to a technician. In 1999 she obtained her Bachelors degree in Biology from UT Austin and then in 2003 she obtained her DVM with highest honors (Magna Cum Laude) from Texas A&M University. She has a grand total of 20 years of experience in the veterinary field. Dr. Henry practiced in California and Tennessee in addition to Texas. She chose veterinary medicine due to her love for animals, diversity of cases in general practice and her desire to provide client education to strengthen and improve the human/animal bond. On top of general medicine, Dr. Henry really enjoys internal medicine, feline medicine and soft tissue surgery.
Dr. Henry has 4 furry family members: Sammie the Beagle, Otis the Pomeranian, Chloe and Harley who are 2 geriatric cats. On her free time, Dr. Henry enjoys reading, listening to music, traveling and spending time outdoors.
Dr. Cesar Simon was born in Madrid, Spain. Due to the love he has for medicine and animals, he knew that being a Veterinarian was in his future.
Dr. Simon first began working on a rabbit farm in Spain around 1990 and then moved his way up through practicing as a freelance surgeon. In 1995 Dr. Simon began practicing as a veterinarian for a small animal practice. He moved to England, UK around 1998 and practiced veterinary medicine there for about 8 years. Dr. Simon met his wife, Stacy, in the UK. Stacy is from Beaumont, Texas and longed to move back to the US. In 2008 they moved to Bastrop, Texas. In 2011 Dr. Simon passed his North American Veterinary Licensing. In 2013 he became certified through the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates. Lastly, in 2013, Dr. Simon became certified through the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners.
Dr. Simon and Stacy have a son, Saul, who born in Austin, Texas. They also have a greyhound mixed breed, Flaca, which they rescued from the Houston SPCA. Last but surely not to be least, they have a bearded dragon named Shaggy.
Dr. Simon enjoys spending time with his family. His son is the joy of his life. If time allows, he will hit up the gym to get in a good workout. Dr. Simon also enjoys reading with a special interest in history, philosophy and psychology.
