A general practitioner at Norwell Veterinary Hospital since 1998, Dr. Patricia Cairns is now our Co-Chief of Staff. Originally from Glasgow, Scotland, she completed her undergraduate education at C.W. Post College and received her Bachelor's Degree in Biology and Chemistry in 1985. She continued her education at the Cornell University New York State College of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. Her professional interests include internal medicine, dentistry, soft-tissue surgery and dermatology.
When she's not at the hospital, Dr. Cairns loves spending time outdoors and can usually be found hiking, biking, kayaking, swimming, camping and skiing in the winter. She and her husband, Darren Baker, a biochemist, have three children, Cameron, Jacqui and Graeme. Their family also includes Colby, a black Lab, and Frogg, a cat.
Dr. Lisa Kimball has cared for pets as a general practitioner at Norwell Veterinary Hospital since 2005. Hailing from New York, Dr. Kimball attended Binghamton University, and received her Bachelor's Degree in Biology, with a concentration in Theatre, in 2001. She went on to attend the Cornell University New York State College of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her doctorate of veterinary medicine in 2005. Her professional interests include preventative medicine and surgery.
Outside of work, Dr. Kimball enjoys playing the guitar, singing, sailing, traveling and playing tennis. Dr. Kimball and her husband, Sam, also a veterinarian, share their home with a dog named Patti.
A native of New York, Dr. Tracey Kelleher has cared for pets at Norwell Veterinary Hospital as a general practitioner since 1994, and is now our Co-Chief of Staff. She attended Cornell University and received a Bachelor's Degree in Biology in 1983. Dr. Kelleher continued her veterinary education at the Cornell University New York State College of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. Her professional interests include dermatology and internal medicine.Dr. Kelleher is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Kelleher keeps busy outside the hospital with her husband, Jim and their two children, Maggie and Jamie. Her hobbies include skiing, gardening, pilates, yoga and reading, along with the ongoing improvements she and Jim make to their home. Dr. Kelleher's family also includes two Labs, Georgie and Lily.
Dr. Ciampa is the newest addition to the Norwell Veterinary Hospital team, joining us in July 2011. Growing up in Reading, Massachusetts, she is happy to be returning to the area and is looking forward to calling South Weymouth her home. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of New Hampshire in 2003 and then completed her veterinary studies at Tufts University, earning her DVM in 2010. Dr. Ciampa completed a small animal rotating internship at the Veterinary Emergency and Referral Group in Brooklyn, New York before joining us here.
Dr. Ciampa has a strong interest in internal medicine, emergency and critical care, and neurology. Outside of work, she enjoys anything outdoors such as running, camping and hiking. She also loves cooking, spending time with friends and family, and going to Red Sox and Patriots games. She has an adorable 10lb poodle mix named Jellybean and looks forward to adopting another dog. Dr. Ciampa is very excited about her move back to Massachusetts and especially to joining the Norwell Veterinary Hospital team!
Dr. Bock is our newest addition at Norwell Veterinary Hospital, joining us in July 2011. She grew up in Holliston, Massachusetts and is looking forward to calling South Boston her new home. She studied at the University of Delaware, receiving her undergraduate degree in 2006, and then went on to earn her DVM degree in 2010 from Atlantic Veterinary College. She completed a 13 month internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA South Shore Animal Hospital in Weymouth before joining our team.
Dr. Bock is interested in internal medicine, senior pet wellness, nutrition and exotic animal medicine. She is very excited to develop long term relationships with her clients and their companions! Outside of work, she enjoys traveling (especially places off the beaten path), photography, and community service in and around the Boston area. Her long term aspiration is to devote time to Vets Without Borders. She also loves spending time with her sweet eight and a half year old adopted beagle, Betty Boop!
