David Mouser, DVM
David Mouser, DVM

Dr. Mouser has been the Chief of Staff at North Austin Animal Hospital since November 2008. He grew up in western Texas and currently calls Austin home. Dr. Mouser attended Texas A&M University for both his undergraduate and veterinary studies, receiving his DVM degree in 1977. After graduating from vet school, Dr. Mouser practiced at a variety of veterinary hospitals in Texas before joining us here. Thanks to his hard work and vision, North Austin Animal Hospital is able to offer you and your pet high quality medicine and excellent customer service.

Within veterinary medicine, Dr. Mouser is interested in acupuncture, traditional eastern medicine, general & soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, orthopedics, and exotics. He truly believes in delivering the best possible care for his clients and their pets. Outside of work, Dr. Mouser enjoys an active lifestyle, hiking, camping, gardening and cooking. He also enjoys spending time with his many pets: Micah, a 7 year old lab mix, Tres, a 3 legged, 10 year old rat terrier, and 4 cats, Andy, Marley, Bart and Wallace!

Dr. Chad Harris
Dr. Chad Harris

Originally from Odessa, Texas, Dr. Harris earned his DVM degree at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. After completing the classroom portion of veterinary school at Ross University in St. Kitts, located in the West Indies in the Caribbean, he performed a clinical rotation year at the University of Minnesota in St. Paul, Minnesota. Prior to veterinary school, Dr. Harris graduated from McMurry University in Abilene, Texas with a Bachelor�s degree in biology, obtained certification in electrocardiography and echocardiography (cardiac ultrasound) at the Sanford Brown Institute in Houston, Texas, and attended Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas for graduate school.

Dr. Harris' many interests in veterinary medicine include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, orthopedic surgery, stem cell therapy, avian medicine and surgery, reptile medicine and surgery, fish medicine and surgery, and cardiology.

Outside the world of veterinary medicine, Dr. Harris enjoys kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, hiking, snorkeling, and fishing. At home, he has many different tropical freshwater fish and Brandy, his dog he brought with him from the Caribbean who is jokingly labeled his "coconut retriever."

Dr. Harris chose veterinary medicine because he thoroughly enjoys animals and their humans and would be more than happy to share stories with you!
