Dr. Ann Marie Clemons
Dr. Ann Marie Clemons

Dr. Ann Marie Clemons joined East Maryland in 2013. She grew up in small town called Nevada, in Iowa, which is just East of Ames (home of the Iowa State Cyclones). She graduated from Iowa State School of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. Dr. Ann lives with her life partner Lloyd and their dog Lola. She has only lived in the Phoenix area since 2012 and is excited to learn about all the amazing desert creatures and environment. Although she said she has quickly learned that nothing in the desert is soft or cuddly; everything in the desert either pricks you, stings you, poisons you, or burns you. She also enjoys baking, reading, coloring, traveling, cooking with Lloyd, and learning how to garden in the desert.

Her interest in veterinary medicine started when she was very young and she never wanted to be anything else. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but has a special interest in exotic animals, behavior medicine, and meeting new owners. She loves all animals and does not have a favorite species or breed.
