Scott Barnard, DVM
Scott Barnard, DVM

Dr. Barnard was born and raised in Canton, Ohio and received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Ohio State University in 1990. Upon graduation, he moved to North Carolina where he practiced small animal medicine for 17 years, four of which were spent in emergency medicine. Dr. Barnard was also the treasurer for the North Carolina Academy of Small Animal Medicine from 1995-2006 and is currently a member of the AVMA. His special interests include critical care, geriatric medicine, cardiology, dermatology, surgery, and small mammal exotics.
Dr. Barnard married his high school sweetheart Carolyn and they have four children. The family enjoys swimming and outdoor activites together.

John Graham, DVM
John Graham, DVM

Dr. Graham has traveled far and wide over the course of his training and career. Originally from Toronto, Canada, Dr. Graham attended the University of Western on Ontario to obtain his bachelor's of health science degree. Dr. Graham attended veterinary school at Ross University, completing his clinical training at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After obtaining his DVM, Dr. Graham completed a 1-year rotating internship in medicine and surgery at the VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center of Arizona.

Dr. Graham began working at Dobson Ranch Animal Hospital immediately following his internship training and couldn't be more excited to finally settle in the wonderful state of Arizona. Outside of work, Dr. Graham enjoys just about everything this beautiful state has to offer but particularly enjoys mountain biking, hiking and camping.

Brigid Hirth, DVM
Brigid Hirth, DVM

Dr. Hirth received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at The Ohio State University in 1996. She loves practicing general small animal medicine and surgery, but, has a particular interest in geriatric medicine and pain management. “Aging doesn’t mean an animal has to develop or live with pain”, says Dr. Hirth.

Dr. Hirth re-located to Arizona from Maryland in 2012. Currently, she lives in Tempe with her husband, son, 2 dogs and cat.

Kirsten Crouch, DVM
Kirsten Crouch, DVM

Dr. Crouch was born and raised in beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona. She grew up on a small farm in New River, Arizona and enjoyed raising goats, sheep, horses, mules, chickens, dogs, cats, and whatever other animals she and her younger brother convinced their parents to let them raise. Dr. Crouch spent many of her younger years volunteering for the Arizona Game and Fish Department as well as Southwest Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, so her prior veterinary knowledge began early on with wildlife.

Dr. Crouch attended Arizona State University for her undergraduate degree and graduated veterinary school from Ross University. She completed her clinical year at Colorado State University. Her special interests include cardiology, surgery, clinical pathology, and parasitology.

Kristy Sorenson, DVM
Kristy Sorenson, DVM

Dr. Kristy Sorenson is an Arizona native who received her Bachelor of Science from Arizona State University (go Sun Devils!). She then went on to pursue and receive her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Wisconsin. After experiencing their second Midwest winter, Dr. Sorenson and her husband decided they ultimately needed to return to the warmth and sunshine. They returned to the Phoenix area immediately, where the two live with their boxer Sol and terrier mix Zoey in Mesa.

Dr. Sorenson’s special interests related to caring for your pets include preventative care, internal medicine, and dentistry. She is passionate about creating client experiences that involve both interactive education and establishing meaningful connections with both pet and owner. She looks forward to working together as a team to build a plan for your pet’s care!

Brad Barnett, DVM

Dr. Brad Barnett hails from Tucson, AZ. Growing up, his parents fostered his love for animals and the great outdoors. After serving in the U. S Marines, Dr. Barnett began his scholastic endeavors first at University of Arizona and then at Oregon State University where he attained his doctorate in veterinary medicine. He began his medical career working up in Pinetop, AZ where he worked on small animals and exotics, as well as on-call emergency.

For the last 3 years, Dr. Barnett has worked in Scottsdale as a small animal general practitioner where he excelled in preventive medicine and dentistry. In his spare time, Dr. Barnett enjoys spending time with his family, and when time allows, enjoying the many outdoor recreational activities that Arizona has to offer. Dr. Barnett brings a diverse medical background to Dobson Ranch Animal Hospital and looks forward to working with you.
