"As a young girl in Puerto Rico, I remember having an instant attachment to animals. As I see it, what better way to spend the day than by playing with pets, and at the same time, making a difference in their lives by providing wellness education to their owners. My husband Andy and I met at Purdue University while I was attending veterinary school. We have two wonderful children, a boy and a girl, as well as a Great Dane named Scooby. I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the movies and catching a few zzz's when I have a few extra minutes. I obtained my undergraduate and DVM degree from Purdue University and joined the Banfield team in 2009. Please feel free to stop in. I would enjoy meeting you and your pet family!"read more
"I fondly recall my first dog Sophie, a Golden Retriever, she is the one who taught me the importance of the Human-Animal Bond which lies deeply in my Heart. As a direct result of our special connection, I started working at an animal kennel when I was 16-years old. That experience quickly taught me that I was passionate for all pets and that I wanted to study Animal Science and Biology. I earned both my Bachelor of Science and my DVM at Purdue University. I have a real interest in clinical pathology (analyzing laboratory samples and test results.)
When not working at Banfield in Plainfield, I enjoy hanging out with my 10-year old kitty cat Marble (tortie) and taking long walks with my 7-year old black lab Andy. I also like trying new sushi restaurants with friends, swimming and yoga.
I truly look forward to meeting you and your furry family member, so that I may better understand your personal connection to your pet, while focusing on your pets individual and overall health needs."
