Dr. Jaime Sumner

Dr. Sumner graduated with an Agricultural Science degree in 2004 from Truman State University. She then went to St. Georges and received her veterinary degree in 2008. Dr. Sumner has two dogs, Vagus and Tater, and a cat named Nayda. Her interests in veterinary medicine are dermatology and internal medicine.

Dr. Melissa Turner
Dr. Melissa Turner

Dr. Turner has been with Banfield, The Pet Hospital for over 6 years. Dr. Turner graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in 2005 and then in 2009 she graduated from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. She is more of a Nittany Lion rather than a Hokie! She is a local and has lived in Virginia Beach since 1991. She married the love of her life Matt in September of 2012. Dr. Turner had her first child, Aiden, on Christmas Eve 2015. Her little man has captured her heart and is the apple of her eye. Dr. Turner's special interests in veterinary medicine include: soft tissue surgery and internal medicine.

Dr. Amanda Carter

Dr. Carter graduated from Universtiy of North Carolina at Wilimington in 2002 with a degree in Biology. She then went to North Carolina State for vet school and graduated in 2010. Dr. Carter met her soul mate when she was in private practice 3 years ago and will get married in October of this year. She has one cat named Kaylee and a black lab mix named Birdie. Her interests in veterinary medicine are feline medicine and internal medicine.
