Dr. Stephanie Chen

I knew I wanted to be a veterinarian when I was a teenager. They try to
tell me something when I look at their eyes and I want to help them.
was born in Pennsylvania but I grew up in Taiwan. I earned my DVM
and master degrees from National Taiwan University (the top vet school
in Taiwan). While there, I also spent one year in a small animal
internship. After moving to the US, I completed a clinical training
program at Louisiana State University Veterinary School and, following
that, the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates
certification program in June 2013. I had worked in Kent and
Renton for a few years before joining Banfield. My area of special
professional interests are emergency and soft tissue surgery.
Outside work, I enjoy volleyball, swimming, movies and cooking. I have
a 10 year- old Dachshund, Lulu and a 3 year-old calico kitty named
Autumn.
