Dr. Meredith Cruse is originally from Omaha, Nebraska. She attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln for her undergraduate degree and graduated in 2007. She went on to attend Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2011. Dr. Cruse was a part of the Emergency Response team which was responsible for being on call for any pets that were affected by tornadoes or other natural disasters. Dr. Cruse is very family oriented. She moved to Texas to be closer to her sisters and nephew, and currently resides in Fort Worth. Dr. Cruse loves preventive medicine and is passionate about keeping your pets healthy and happy! She especially loves puppies and strives to make their visits to the veterinarian fun as well as educational for all pet parents! We can't wait to meet your pets!read more
Dr. Christopher Candella is our lead veterinarian and our Chief of Staff in development. He has been with Banfield since 2012. Dr. Candella has worked in the veterinary field since 1999. He became a Certified Veterinary Technician, and his love for animals grew as he worked in the field. He graduated from Louisiana Technical University in 2006 completing his undergraduate studies. He was a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity and Alpha Zeta. In 2012, Dr. Candella graduated from St. George's University with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine where he was on the Student academic review board. Dr. Candella loves performing surgeries as well as practicing internal medicine.
Christopher Candella and his wife live in Arlington with their two daughters and three dogs: Maddie (German Shepherd), Stitch (Catahoula Cur) and Sully (Golden Retriever mix). His wife, Tracy Candella, is also a veterinarian with Banfield.
