Following this type of protocol will help prevent many common medical problems in your pet. Making a commitment in preventative veterinary healthcare can pay off by saving the expenses and suffering of treating a medical problem that could have been prevented.

“A caring animal hospital in Largo FL”
First of all, I am excited to be a veterinarian at Animal Care Clinic of Largo. It is rewarding to deliver vital veterinary preventative and routine health pet care at affordable prices. In addition to wellness, I also have an interest in internal medicine and surgery, and am able to provide the type of veterinary care I have always envisioned.
I have always had a great love for animals and feel very fortunate to have fulfilled my dream of becoming a veterinarian. I spent my four years of veterinary school in Ithaca, New York and graduated from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002.
Immediately after graduation, I set out for Portland, Oregon to enjoy the beauty and lifestyle of the Pacific Northwest. There I worked 5 years in a small animal private veterinary practice and later worked as an associate veterinarian for the Oregon Humane Society, one of the most progressive shelters in the country. The shelter also serves as a teaching hospital for Oregon State veterinary students, and I greatly enjoyed guiding senior veterinary students through their first spay and neuter surgeries as well as the medical examination, work up, and treatment of sick shelter pets.
I also have experience in mobile veterinary hospice through Lap of Love. I have always felt a profound compassion for pets and their owners and find great importance in comforting and guiding people through difficult end of life decisions for their beloved pets.
I moved to Florida for family reasons and hope to make this my long term home. I am also fluent in Spanish and live in the St. Petersburg area with my husband, two little daughters, golden retriever Charlie, and my feisty cat Simon.
In addition to veterinary medicine, I love music and play both guitar and accordion. I am also fond of the great outdoors, and enjoy hiking, observing wildlife and relaxing at the beach, especially with my family.
